Explosion protection (ATEX) - Documentation preparation

ATEX ignition source assessment

The analysis of ignition sources is a specific form of risk assessment, which involves identifying ignition sources in explosive zones. We individually assess the occurrence of ignition sources as defined by the standard, alongside examining existing protective measures. If necessary, we recommend new technical and organizational measures, as without an ignition source, the explosion risk does not appear.

Applicable legislation:
  1. 3/2003. (III. 11.) FMM-ESzCsM joint decree on the minimum occupational safety requirements for workplaces in potentially explosive environments
  2. TvMI 13.3:2022.06.13. Fire Protection Technical Guideline. Explosion protection
Applicable standards:
  1. MSZ EN 1127-1:2019 Explosive atmospheres. Explosion prevention and protection. Part 1: Basic concepts and methodology
