According to the 3/2003 FMM-ESzCsM decree, the employer must prepare or have prepared explosion protection documentation for workplaces in potentially explosive environments, or for their design and use. This is a complex document consisting of technology analysis, zone classification, ignition source analysis, the description of the explosion protection concept (technical and organizational protective measures), and an evaluation of occupational risks, which must be continuously reviewed and amended in case of changes. The result of preparing this documentation will reveal whether your work environment meets the minimum occupational safety requirements specified in the decree from an explosion safety perspective.

The 15/2022. (I. 28.) SZTFH decree on the minimum safety and health requirements to be implemented in mining operations does not contain detailed requirements for the content of the prescribed Explosion Prevention Plan. According to the information issued by the Hungarian Mining and Geological Office under number 305/2/2006, the content requirements of the Explosion Prevention Plan may match the relevant requirements of the Explosion Protection Documentation under the 3/2003 (III. 11.) FMM-ESzCsM decree.
